Make Your mark. Monday: New Post Series

Got a bad case of the Mondays? Personally, I know I do. Not wanting to stay in that funk,  I thought about some way to change my mood. I came up with the idea to start a weekly themed post on mark. products! Here’s what I am thinking about doing with this new post series on the blog: Each Monday i’ll create a fresh post covering a few mark. products that are available on my Avon eStore. (That’s right, Avon and mark. products go hand in hand!) I’ll share product pictures, prices, and info. My Avon Beauty Faves List | Post Three

Hey there, beauts! Its a new day and I've got a new post to share with you all, featuring more of My Avon Beauty Faves. Just like the other posts to this series, I will share my reasons for why I love each featured product. I will also list product prices and include any deals/special offers where applicable. After the post, I would like to once again open it up for discussion --- so, be sure to leave a comment below!

I'd like to start off the post today with the Avon Care Silicone Glove Protective Hand Cream. This is an Avon Favorite of many and has been for years. I first got this for myself at the end of November, last year. The Seasonal Mini Hand Creams were available, and I bought the bundle which included this product. My seven year old son loves when I get "Avon goodies" so, I gave him a mini tube of the Silicone Glove and was happy that he was happy. He tried it out right away and came to me with excitement at how good it smelled. He said "I'm not exactly sure what it smells like, it's like something I know of. But it's real good, Mom. My hands are so soft now!" Then I thought, hey with a little review like that, how could I not give it a try myself!? My first impression of this product was how it did not feel like hand cream as I rubbed it in. It was not sticky and absorbed into my skin quickly and felt like I had just used baby powder on my hands. That's when it hit me --- the scent of this Silicone Glove Protective Hand Cream is incredibly reminiscent to that of baby powder. It is fresh and clean smelling. It is soft, and works wonders at healing and protecting my hands with all of the dish washing I do around here! I'd like to move on now to the next fave of mine, Ultra Color Lipstick in shade Pink Punch. This lipstick color is from the Bold Shades line of the Ultra Color brand. Before I became an Avon Representative, I did not wear any lipstick. I had wanted to but never thought anything out there was worth my money. It was always not enough color or not the color I expected to show up when applied, it just wasn't worth it to me. With that being said, I gave a look at the shades and decided on something bold that would give me a take charge attitude. My next Avon Beauty Favorite that i’m featuring in this entry, is the Foot Works Beautiful Overnight Lavender Cream. This stuff smells amazing — so calming, and serene. The texture is non-sticky and it simply moisturizes my feet while relaxing me in the evening when I apply it. Lavender is typically known for its calming effects so it is no wonder why this product puts me at such ease. When I apply this Foot Works Beautiful Overnight Lavender Cream, I put socks on for a bit to fully seep in. I do not think that is a requirement but it is something that I do, so i’m mentioning it. My Avon Beauty Faves List | Post One

Hey, loves! I’ve decided to take on a new set of posts with each one featuring a few products from Avon that i’m currently obsessing over. Over the next week or so, i’ll put up a new post and share all of the reasons that I love each product. I’ll also be listing current prices and special offers where applicable. I’m not certain on how many parts to this new line of postings there will be, but let’s start off with Post One and go from there!

What I love about this mineral mask is that not only does it work to remove pore-clogging oils in the skin but it doubles as an acne treatment. When applying, you’ll feel a cooling sensation and it goes on black. As it dries (and does its job!) it turns grey. So, there is no guess work — you can see and feel this product working. I also notice a tightness to my face as it dries but it brings no discomfort really. My skin is quite sensitive and I have yet to have an issue with this product irritating my skin. I just find it to be another tool to my beauty and skincare routine. I love the consistency of this product, it is not too thin nor too thick. It really does moisturize my skin with no eye irritation. My Avon True Color Perfectly Matte Swatch Post + Review

Good evening, loves! If you haven’t heard yet, Avon has just released a new lipstick line and its right on trend. (True Matte Eyeshadow Quads are also available but in this post, i’ll be getting lippy with the lipsticks.)

I’d like to start with saying that I have never been much of a glossy girl. I don’t care much for sticky lips that don’t provide any color with its shine. I tend to prefer the sparkle and glitz to be around my eyes. While Avon does have a few demi-matte lipsticks to the Ultra Color Lipstick line, the truth is they were lacking some shade variety. Also, demi-matte is not a true matte and so when I caught sight of the Perfectly Matte Lipsticks I got incredibly excited! There are 12 True Color Perfectly Matte Lipstick shades to choose from and they are all gorgeous!

The name of this lipstick line could not be more fitting. First, True Color. Once again, Avon has done it — what you see is what you get. I appreciate that when I see a tube of Avon lipstick, I’m sure to get the same color on my lips when applied. Other brands have let me down but Avon sure hasn’t. Then, there’s the Perfectly Matte part to the name. Yes, just that — Perfectly Matte. If you are looking for a smooth yet vibrant lipstick that has lasting power without shimmer and shine, this line is for you! Here are all 12 of the True Color Perfectly Matte Lipsticks that I “swatched out”. I always have a great time doing these swatches, even though my kids look at my like i’m crazy!

My very first impression on these lipsticks was how smoothly they applied. It was such an effortless application. I’m sure you, like myself, have experienced some waxy lip products that you have to give a great deal of pressure to, to get some kind of color out. Starting from the bottom left corner and going to the right then straight up, Shade names: Hot Plum, Coral Fever, Perfectly Nude, Marvelous Mocha, and Ideal Lilac. My next impression of the products? Thank goodness for no sticky, harsh, chemical taste. There’s nothing worse than wearing an incredible lip color and having it become tainted due to an unpleasant taste. Also, these lipsticks have such a light feeling to them yet the color is anything but.

After applying these “First Five” I found my favorites were Hot Plum and Marvelous Mocha.  They are all gorgeous though and I can see myself wearing them all for various occasions.  Which one is your favorite out of this group? Leave a comment after the post!

Top row going from left to right, Shade names: Superb Wine, Red Supreme and Ravishing Rose. Middle row going from left to right, Shade names: Adoring Love, Pure Pink and Electric Pink. Bottom left, Shade name: Wild Cherry. Look how versatile these shades are! And oh-my-goodness, Electric Pink!? What fun! Bold shades always steal my heart because they give me a fierceness in myself that makes me feel empowered. I also enjoy the sweetness and innocence of shade Pure Pink.
