My New Avon Makeup Fave: True Color Lip Crayons

Afternoon, beauts — Before today I had only heard of lip crayons… I never tried them out. I had a few customers order some lately and so I had asked: “What’s the buzz on these lip crayons?” What I found out was that these True Color Lip Crayons are: Easy to use, Have a convenient/simplistic packaging for outings/trips, Well-pigmented color (12 shades to choose from), and Available in two finishes for different looks (Shimmer and Cream). Eye Dimensions Eyeshadow Product Review

Hey, beauts! I've got another beauty product from AVON to review on the blog and today for the first time ever, it's an eyeshadow palette!! I have to say that the True Color Eyeshadow Quads have been my go-to for some time now but I wanted to try out the Eye Dimensions and the Sultry Smoke shade palette was calling my name!

My first impression of this product was how glittery it was. That surprised me but it was a nice change from my usual matte makeups. The lightest two shades seem to contain the most shimmer, whereas the darkest shade has some sparkle but for the most part i'd say its matte. The texture of this product is just how it is described on my eStore; velvety, smooth, and silky. Even though this product is quite shimmery, I have not had any issue with eye irritation. I've steered clear of products like this, usually, because it bothers my eyes. Pleased to say again, that this one does not! I noticed that I am able to wear this eyeshadow for hours before it starts to crease or fade away. I think its the ultimate beauty product for a night out! It's fun, sexy, and sure to make you feel fabulous about yourself! 

You may notice (like I did!) in the brochures and online, the swatch of this palette looks like there is some silver/grey. That is really not the case. I was surprised that the middle color is more of a neutral/brown/hint of gold even. It's very pretty - but worth mentioning, in case you are looking for some silver with your black and white shadows. I love how effortless the application is. I use the Pro Makeup Brushes that I got from AVON and it just makes all the difference! I use the sponge applicator that comes with to aid me in removing my nail enamel -- works great at getting rid of the polish that gets stuck in the corners!

Vampy Makeup Trend + Pictures/Reviews

Hey there, beauties! Starting off the new week with a fresh post and a trendy makeup look: Vampy. I had so much fun over the weekend playing with my makeup and taking pictures in preparation for this posting. I've done a few FOTD (face-of-the-day) posts in the past, but felt like it was time to do my own personal FOTD. I've been craving to go a bit bold and try a berry lip so I went through my lippy sample bullets and found a beautiful one: Ultra Color Absolute Lipstick in Radiant Raisin ($9). I love this lipstick line from AVON because it has SPF 15 in the formula, which is great for keeping lips healthy and smooth. 

Once I found that, I began setting up my space. I started with my Magix Face Perfector ($11) to get my skin prepped/primed. I added my Smooth Minerals Powder Foundation ($12) using my AVON Kabuki Brush ($6.99). After having the canvas set, I used the AVON Lash Conditioner + Primer ($8 reg.) which i've recently become a huge fan of! 

While I was trying to choose which mascara to use (I have a few different ones on hand!) I decided that I did not want to go for such a bold lash since I was about to don a bold lip. I kept it simple and chose the AVON Wash-Off Waterproof Mascara ($8). which is a fabulous yet basic mascara. 

One of my favorite eyeshadow palettes is the True Color Eyeshadow Quad ($8 reg.) I have a few of these in different shades, but the one I chose to wear today was the Chocolate Sensation quad. The soft, shimmering beige brings out my eyes when added to the inner corners, and I love the milk chocolate and truffle shades for the crease Those all have a slight shimmer/sparkle to them but number 4 on the quad, Black Brown is a matte. I've noticed that most of the TC Eyeshadow Quads come this way: Numbers 1 thru 3 - shimmery and number 4 - matte. I use the AVON Pro Eyeshadow Brush ($5.99) and AVON Pro Crease Brush ($5.99). As for the sponge applicator that came with the eyeshadow, I use that to help remove nail enamel. It works great to reaching those inner nail creases.

 I also used my favorite eyeliner, the Ultra Luxury Eye Liner in Dark Brown on the bottom and then used the Ultra Luxury Eye Liner in Eggplant up on the top to get that pop of purple going on my eyes. I love these liners because they are easy to sharpen, the product does not break off or get too soft, and when applied lasts for hours! Another plus? These liners are only $5 each!
