My Avon Beauty Faves List | Post Four

Hey, beauts — Happy March! Spring is truly around the corner and I cannot wait. Sure, the snow is pretty to look at but so are bright colored flowers and sunshine! In my first blog post of March, i’ll be continuing my series on My Avon Beauty Faves Roundup, with Post Four. I hope you all enjoy it! I’m going to start first with the lipstick. The all-new Perfectly Matte Lipstick in shade Ideal Lilac is a perfect shade for Spring. It’s bright and the matte finish is a current beauty trend. This lipstick, while being a matte finish, is not drying to the lips. It never cakes nor cracks and has an incredible lightweight feel. Avon Dazzlers Top Coat has been around for a while but I just recently got around to trying it out. There are 5 shades included in this line of nailwear, pictured above is Disco Ball. You can wear this top coat alone or over top of polish. Dazzlers are a fun way to dress up your mani! What I like to do with this product is create a french tip look over top of my nail polish color. Then, on my ring finger apply it all over. What looks can/will you create with this product?

I am a HUGE fan of Magix Face Perfector! Before I tried it, I honestly did not think that it was necessary to my beauty routine. I did not see the point and I did not think it would make a difference. This, however, would be one of the times that I was glad to be proven wrong! One pack lasts me almost a month (I don’t wear makeup everyday). I have sensitive skin but I have had no issues with irritation from these. I don’t notice any scent to these really, I just notice that they really get the job done! My Avon Beauty Faves List | Post One

Hey, loves! I’ve decided to take on a new set of posts with each one featuring a few products from Avon that i’m currently obsessing over. Over the next week or so, i’ll put up a new post and share all of the reasons that I love each product. I’ll also be listing current prices and special offers where applicable. I’m not certain on how many parts to this new line of postings there will be, but let’s start off with Post One and go from there!

Let’s begin with the first product that kicks off my morning beauty routine, Anew Vitale Gel Cleanser. This product is a must-have for me, I don’t think i’ll ever stop obsessing! The formula is a lightweight gel that is easy to apply and a little bit goes a long way. (Only dab a pea size amount onto your fingertip. Next up on my Avon Beauty Faves Roundup List is the Clearskin Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask. Oh my goodness… it really works! I use this product twice per week. What I love about this mineral mask is that not only does it work to remove pore-clogging oils in the skin but it doubles as an acne treatment. When applying, you’ll feel a cooling sensation and it goes on black. As it dries (and does its job!) it turns grey. So, there is no guess work — you can see and feel this product working. I also notice a tightness to my face as it dries but it brings no discomfort really. My skin is quite sensitive and I have yet to have an issue with this product irritating my skin. I usually leave this product on for around 12-15 minutes. My kids get a real big kick out of me when I have this mineral mask on, they find it hilarious! I just find it to be another tool to my beauty and skincare routine. The next product that has my heart is a Top Rated Avon Customer Favorite and it’s really no wonder why! The Moisture Effective Eye Makeup Remover Lotion is what I like to call Magic in a Bottle. This stuff is truly amazing. Squeeze out a dab onto your fingertip, gently rub it on and around your eyes, wipe away with a damp cloth, and voila — all clean! I love the consistency of this product, it is not too thin nor too thick. It really does moisturize my skin with no eye irritation. When I first used this product, I used more at one time than I needed to and it was a “gloppy mess”. The product had really gotten into my eye but easily rinsed out with water. This product came out around August of last year and i’ve been using it since its debut! You can use this product as a spot treatment, but I just use it all-over as a mask. The product is great because it works fast, does not burn or sting, goes on smoothly, and has a pleasant menthol/cooling scent. A small amount goes far so that’s another plus. I do notice that after applying this product my face appears to be greasy/oily. This does not seem to be an issue though as I apply right before bed. Eye Dimensions Eyeshadow Product Review

Hey, beauts! I've got another beauty product from AVON to review on the blog and today for the first time ever, it's an eyeshadow palette!! I have to say that the True Color Eyeshadow Quads have been my go-to for some time now but I wanted to try out the Eye Dimensions and the Sultry Smoke shade palette was calling my name!

My first impression of this product was how glittery it was. That surprised me but it was a nice change from my usual matte makeups. The lightest two shades seem to contain the most shimmer, whereas the darkest shade has some sparkle but for the most part i'd say its matte. The texture of this product is just how it is described on my eStore; velvety, smooth, and silky. Even though this product is quite shimmery, I have not had any issue with eye irritation. I've steered clear of products like this, usually, because it bothers my eyes. Pleased to say again, that this one does not! I noticed that I am able to wear this eyeshadow for hours before it starts to crease or fade away. I think its the ultimate beauty product for a night out! It's fun, sexy, and sure to make you feel fabulous about yourself! 

You may notice (like I did!) in the brochures and online, the swatch of this palette looks like there is some silver/grey. That is really not the case. I was surprised that the middle color is more of a neutral/brown/hint of gold even. It's very pretty - but worth mentioning, in case you are looking for some silver with your black and white shadows. If you are, be sure to check out the True Color Eyeshadow Quad in shade: Urban Skyline.

I love how effortless the application is. I use the Pro Makeup Brushes that I got from AVON and it just makes all the difference! I use the sponge applicator that comes with to aid me in removing my nail enamel -- works great at getting rid of the polish that gets stuck in the corners!

Quick Beauty Tips for the Girl who is Short on Time

Hey there, beauties! There are "a zillion" beauty tips online and some of them take up more of your time than others. Here are just a few of the ones I found that are sure to help out when you are short on time.

Prime Your Pucker. Use a bit of foundation on your lips before applying your lipstick. It will help the color stay all day. I recommend the Smooth Minerals line or the BB Cream.

Good morning, beauts. It’s no secret: Long, lengthy, dark eyelashes that frame and define your eyes, are one of your most important beauty assets. This beauty truth explains why so many of us rely on an extra coat of mascara before we head out the door. It’s that finishing touch that is essential for an extra dose of confidence. Ready, Set, Curl!

“Curling is a crucial step for longer-looking lashes, because it makes them more visible and opens up your eyes. As always, make sure your lashes are clean before you start. Wipe them gently with an oil-based makeup remover. Then, using an eyelash curler, get as close as you can to your eyelid and press the curler firmly.”

Less Is More

“If necessary, rub excess mascara off the brush with a clean towel before application. Avoid applying too much too quickly — this can create heavy clumps that are a no-no for lengthy lashes. I would recommend using a specialized product such as Avon’s SuperExtend Mascara. The unique formula and spikey bristles allow for maximum lash coverage.”

Get The Right Balance

“When all is said and done, lashes should be lighter at the tips so that they won’t get weighed down and straighten out. To accomplish this, position the brush at the base of the lash so the bristles grip your lengthy lookers evenly. Then, push up lightly against the lashes, wiggling the brush slightly outward (but not all the way to the tips of the lashes). Extend the drama by drawing out some length with a few smooth strokes starting from the base, out to the tip.”

Take Creative Control

“You have more creative freedom with your mascara than you might think. You can create different looks by sweeping the mascara in different directions. Sweep upwards for an open-eyed, doll-like look or brush outwards at an angle for a more elongated, classically feminine look.”

Bottoms Up

“Don’t forget the bottom lashes! I suggest doing them after the top lashes when there’s a minimal amount of mascara on the brush. With a few light strokes downward, darken your lower lashes a to add a bit of definition for larger looking eyes.”
